Her Fragments of Infinity

by fyarlgiles

Bodies in a blizzard

of heaven’s white

black of night

tangle and turn

in a cradle,

in a casket

her fragments of infinity

wallow then wake.

Birds in Heaven

by fyarlgiles

Birds in heaven

twinkle with every blink

of her mind’s eye

their luminous  bodies

drift into

 murky dreams

and rinse away

the filth of fear

so that her visions may rise

In the Still of the Night

by fyarlgiles

leafless birch trees stretch across the line

between the past

and the present.

Memories caught in between

slip through,

blossoming like moonflowers

in the cover of evening.

And there, below,

with time as my halo,

I bay

like a hound

mourning the day

Daughter of Neptune

by fyarlgiles

There is an icy ocean that stirs in my fingers and toes

a vivid body of aquamarine,

deep and whole

that moves me into lush gardens

 and sparkling kingdoms

where new life flows

from the stars in my eyes

fear and rage as raw as pain

dwell  within the devil’s jungle

I was born of wicked waters

quaking in her red lagoon

cast away from ivory towers

stained with pearls of misery

wild blood

burns in my hands

 unbound by heaven’s harmony

with fists that throb and howl

I will strike

for I am free.

The Night Eye

by meaghanmerrifield

The night sky

 looks upon fetid death

and blooming primroses

with undiscerning eye

The Storm

by fyarlgiles

emerald castles torn from earth

thrash above us

beasts and belles

 together fly

like sparrows

in her rageful eye

 though mother’s  mouth

is strong as steal

it wilts and dies

like you and I

when things come down

we’ll rest with her

in satin sheets

so tenderly

floating through autumn,

he tastes something sweet

in orange and burgundy

as they fall

snow on the back

of the heat

as it travels

to spring

in the lands that are far

far away

beauty lazing

on a Sunday

soaking in the Summer’s flame.

golden peaches

drinking morning

from a fountain in the sky

All the embers

of the daylight

smolder in my empty bed

til the starlight

whispers softly

sleep away the world tonight

Love’s Sting

by fyarlgiles

Climb a mountain

with the thorns

of singing roses

on your lips

kiss me slowly

true and quiet

so I’ll learn

the pain of love
