Submission guidelines

We are currently accepting submissions!

1.) WHAT TYPE OF CONTENT ARE YOU LOOKING FOR?

We currently accept short fiction in specific genres (magical realism, horror, & science fiction), non fiction, poetry, and art in all mediums as long as it is related to an upcoming theme. We do accept some miscellaneous work, but we are mostly looking for theme-related content.

For information on upcoming themes click here

2.) DO YOU ACCEPT PREVIOUSLY PUBLISHED WORK & MULTIPLE SUBMISSIONS?

You’re in luck! We accept both.

3.) WILL YOU OWN THE RIGHTS TO MY WORK IF I SEND IT TO YOU?

NO! Your work belongs to you; however, we do reserve the right to edit your work however we see fit for the purpose of creating a cohesive voice.

4.) WHERE AND HOW DO I SEND MY WORK TO BE REVIEWED?

  • Please send all work via email (as an attachment, google doc, or within the body)  to TheShowTellProject@gmail.com.
  • Make sure to include the word “SUBMISSIONS” in the subject line.
  • If you are submitting for a specific theme, please include the name of that theme in the subject line as well  (e.g. “SUBMISSIONS: BASIC INSTINCT”).

5.) HOW AND WHEN WILL I KNOW IF MY WORK IS GOING TO BE INCLUDED IN A COLLECTION?

If you send your work at a time when submissions are light, we will get back to you within the week. If we happen to be overloaded with submissions and content, it could take us up to 4 weeks to respond. If we decide to include your work, we will let you know as soon as possible. Although we cannot get back to each and every one who submits content, you can be assured that ALL SUBMISSIONS WILL BE READ.

Please send all submissions to:

TheShowTellProject@gmail.com
